The
Missionary Oblate Sisters
of
St. Boniface, Manitoba
Take
a Corporate Stand Against Human Trafficking
We,
the Missionary Oblate Sisters, disturbed by the needs of a suffering
world which is thirsting for love, truth and fullness of life, are
committed to fight and suppress the enormous, daunting cataclysm of
trafficking in women and children, also called “human slavery”.
We
condemn,
denounce and oppose all
forms of human trafficking and
activity that foster this social scourge throughout the world, especially in Canada and right here in Manitoba.
We
wish to use all possible means and resources, to unite with the people
involved in this battle to bring an end to the many sufferings caused
by this source.
We
wish to forge paths of hope for our brothers and sisters in need.
The
Oblate Sisters voted in favor of a corporate stand
against
human trafficking on the 28th of January 2009.
